[RI] is a semi-hardcore group PvP orientated guild. We played for 5 years from 2014-2018 in Guild Wars 2, mainly focusing on fighting while being outnumbered, and also competing in organised Guild versus Guild. From 2021, we will reform in the upcoming MMO, New World. We will have a focus on fighting in open field, and in the more structured 50v50 siege wars.
What is semi-hardcore? Basically, it's the middle ground between being casual and flat out hardcore. Jak has always felt that being completely hardcore would drive players away as it would require the players to really tryhard and essentially no-life to become really good beyond their capabilities, or just play on days and hours where their real life would not allow it. But, being too casual would allow anyone to join, the quality of the guild would be lower than what we would aim for. We do not seek players that play once a week, and do not try to improve their game. So, with being semi-hardcore, we get a decent balance of players. We'll never be the best guild due to this, but we will always be trying to improve and do what we can.
Always try to improve. Jak's motive since 2014 is having a guild that always focuses on improving. Whether it's in terms of gameplay, leadership, commanding or managing the guild... There's always something that can be done better. This doesn't mean we seek perfection, but just encouraging an environment that has the mentality of improving. Even if you are the best player in the guild, that person should set aside their ego, and either focus in bettering themselves further, or assist other people in the guild that could use advice or practice.
If we sound like the guild for you, then we are open for recruitment. You can find the discord link and the application form below. Feel free to come and chat with us at any time if you have any questions.
